JAPC

SPAIN, 1950

The drawings and paintings of Jesús Alberto Pérez Castaños (JAPC) present an excessive figurative imagery, with an intense decorative effect, through which a sensation of existential unease is perceived.

A consequence of this is the cumulative effect of lines (scribbles) and colours, in an effort to overcome the emptiness, the silence, the uncreated, the unnamed (letters) and the shapeless (drawing).
