Alba Matilla’s research revolves around the dialectics of the virtual landscape and the physical landscape, the conservation of post-industrial memory and new ways of making painting based in a digital world.

Matilla generates an inseparable relationship between the landscape and the individual, who is affected in one way or another by the aesthetics of his habitat. These non-places of abandonment create a pictorial setting that forms a rhetoric between industrial identity and ruins.
