Emanuele Tozzoli’s art works with its own method, a constant confrontation between artistic and vital polarities.
He approaches his pictorial work in a way that is as emotional and wild as it is intellectual and cultivated. His thematic choices again reflect the opposites between a certain portrait tradition that seeks to define the stereotype (the warrior, the bishop, the architect, the queen…) and a play with the surprising and hidden in each character.
Underground forces inhabit these stridently coloured canvases. Desire, passion, failure and fury challenge the viewer from the overwhelming vision of this young Italian artist, whose work has already found its way into important museums and international collections.
