EXHIBIT Gallery is proud to introduce the internationally acclaimed artist Okuda San Miguel for the first time at the Korean art fair Art Busan from 4-7 May.
Our participation in Art Busan will feature a new work of monumental dimensions made with the characteristic enamel paint finishing on wood, an interesting frieze that mixes Okuda’s own characters with others from popular culture reinterpreted with the faceted and colourful aesthetic that has made this great artist, born in Santander in 1980, popular all over the world.
Along with this great piece, a selection of paintings and sculptures of surprising shapes and evocative symbolism completes our stand at the Korean event. Female nudes and portraits of animals (bears, deer, goats and wolves) that Okuda has imagined since 2019, surrounded by rainbows and other graphic motifs in black and white.
